Why pressure matters
- Under-inflated tyres add rolling resistance and burn more fuel.
- Over-inflation wears the centre of the tread; under-inflation wears the edges.
- Wrong pressures reduce grip — especially in the wet.
How to check
- Find the recommended pressure on the placard in the driver's door jamb.
- Check when the tyres are cold.
